PRAYER SUPPORT

All of us know the importance of prayer, and there are few times that we feel the need for this more than during a time of military deployment. But it's not just the service member away on assignment who needs our prayers, it is also the families who are left behind. Calvary has compiled a list of military personnel who are members of our church or in some way connected to one of the members of our church. Click here for a list of these individuals. If you know of a service member who is a member of Calvary or who is family to one of our Calvary members, call us at 336.714.5413, and they will be added to our prayer list.

MISSION STATEMENT

Military & Family Support of the Triad ministry of Calvary Baptist Church, created in September 2006, providing friendship and support for any military personnel and his/her family. It is for those who are currently in the military, those who have a family member in the military, and those who would like to come alongside these families to encourage them in their service to our country.

WHO WE ARE

We are a people called together by God to minister to our local military and their families, committing our prayers for these families and our service to the Lord. Our group includes: veterans, spouses, parents, family members, and friends of current and past service members. Because of our close ties and experiences, we feel led by God to share His love and hope to our armed services.

WHAT WE DO

In the past we have been blessed to hold several pamper days for mothers and wives of deployed service members, military appreciation luncheons for veterans and active duty military, various social events, care package drives, card-making days, prayer services, and support group meetings. We also have been honored to provide direct help for the family of a wounded soldier of Operation Iraqi Freedom and also to a couple of wives whose husbands were deployed. Creating relationships with the Blue Star Mothers, Family Readiness Groups of the Winston-Salem Army and National Guard, Army Community Services at Ft. Bragg, the OAR Foundation, and an older military support ministry based in a Raleigh church has opened doors to obtain needed help and information and provide different opportunities for our military families. God has blessed us with so many resources and opportunities in our short existence.

We look forward to seeing what His plans are for Military & Family Support of the Triad and our local military community in the years to come.
