GOD ENCOUNTERS ///We hope you are making plans to attend God Encounters this year. For those of you new to God Encounters, it is a heartfelt praise and worship, a casual, loving, and secure environment, speakers who address real life issues from a Biblical perspective, drama, testimonies, prayer, and relationships. This service for women of Calvary, their friends, and women of the community meets the third Tuesday night of each month at 7:00 pm in Calvary's Worship Center. The doors open for fellowship at 6:30 pm. 2010-2011 Schedule WOMEN OF THE WORD ///Invite your friends from your church and community to join you on Wednesday mornings at 9:15 am for Bible Study and fellowship. See 2010 Class Listing Hospitality Dinner ///Are you looking for an outreach opportunity or just a night to be with friends? We would like to invite you to be a part of the Holiday Hospitality Dinner. Our speaker this year will be Kay Dekalb Smith. Described by many as the “Carol Burnett of Christian Entertainment,” this red-headed ball of enthusiasm from Nashville, TN will simultaneously tickle your funny bone with immersing your heart and mind in the important claims of the gospel. Always funny, she “dares to go where no other crazy woman will go” skillfully using her sense of humor to penetrate the heart. She is famous for having you laugh one moment and crying the next. There is no limit as to how many tables a hostess may decorate/reserve. As the hostess, you will decorate a table for eight with your centerpiece and dishes. You will purchase your own ticket and have the option of purchasing the seven additional tickets for your guests. You may want to leave seats available at your table for general tickets sales. Prayer Quilt Ministry ///“A day stitched in prayer is less likely to unravel; instructed with God's Wisdom, threaded with His Love.” Experienced quilters, creative gals, cutters, knot tiers, sewers, and those who want to learn how to quilt are welcome to join us. No experience is necessary. All are welcome to have fun, fellowship and love on others. These quilts are a service and an example of God's love to others in our community. Each knot on the quilt will represent a silent prayer said for that person and their needs. May these gifts of LOVE fill each receiver with the warmth that comes from the prayers tied into each knot.
