Calvary welcomes people from any nationality to our Sunday morning services and other ministries throughout the week. We have four English worship services at our Peace Haven and West campuses, and two Spanish services at our Southside and West campuses.

English As A Second Language

English as a Second Language (ESL) is offered Wednesday evenings at Calvary Peace Haven from 6:00p–7:30p (September-May). An informal assessment will help determine which level a student should take.  All levels are welcome, as classes are offered from “No English,” to conversational and proficient levels. For information, contact Melanie Brooks.

Citizenship Classes

People who have lived in the United States for 5 years, and obtained their Green Card are eligible for Citizenship to the United States of America.  This class teaches the history of the United States, reviews what will be on the Citizenship Test, and assists students in filling out the N-400 Application for Naturalization.  The ability to speak English is a major component of the Naturalization Process, so students must be at a Level 2 of ESL to take the course. The schedule follows the ESL schedule. For information, contact Melanie Brooks.
