Chad Pollard

Associate Pastor/Worship & Arts Candidate

Chad grew up in Kernersville, NC. He has been married to his high school sweetheart, Dawn, for 22 years. Dawn loves music, design, and spending time with her boys. They have three sons: Cameron (18), a French horn player; Codey (18), a guitar player; and Cade (13), who at the time loves hockey and fishing.

Chad has pastored churches in North Carolina and Georgia and for the last 13 years has led the worship ministry at Parkwood Baptist Church in Gastonia. Chad received a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and later returned to Southern Seminary to complete a Master of Arts degree in Biblical Worship.

Chad is an accomplished musician and has had much professional success, but Chad is most passionate about leading the gathered church in worship. He believes that God has commanded the gathered church, in Ephesians 5 and Colossians 3, to admonish and teach one another with the singing of psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. He seeks to come beside those teaching and supporting the proclamation of the word with scripture-saturated, Gospel-focused times of worship.

Chad is also passionate about leadership development. He enjoys teaching and training the worship leaders that will serve and lead beside him and those who God will call to other places to lead. This passion has been fleshed out in Chad as he has poured his life into worship leaders and in Parkwood’s multi-site/church planting strategy.
