I’m Josh Creason. I first met the Calvary family through the ministry of the Day School when I began Kindergarten. It was there that I first heard and responded to the Gospel during a chapel service. Soon, I began attending Sunday School and eventually Wednesday evening activities. Through men of Calvary investing in me as a fourth grader on Wednesday nights, I heard and responded to a call to full-time ministry. God continued to shape me through the ministries and relationships of Calvary and as I grew, Calvary gave me opportunities to serve and lead in ministries. Several summers serving as an intern in children’s and youth ministries gave me many great experiences to help prepare me to effectively minister. I met my wife in the college Sunday School class and the ministry of Calvary was there to help prepare us for a God-honoring marriage. Almost thirteen years ago, Calvary ordained me to the Gospel Ministry. Since then, I have served as a staff pastor at Germantown Baptist Church, just outside of Memphis, TN. Through our early childhood education center I get to lead weekly chapel services that introduce young children to Jesus. Through our Wednesday evening children’s programming, I help facilitate multigenerational interactions where children engage with scripture much like I experienced when I heard the call to ministry. Through our internship program, I get to help prepare a next generation of ministers for effective ministry. I have had the chance to walk with over 100 couples as they have prepared for marriage. Every day, the ministry of Calvary that I received is being poured right back out. Calvary, thank you for the faith you passed on to me. It is an honor to be a part of passing that faith on from generation to generation.
